I have always felt compelled to make art. When I was little, growing up in the Metro-Detroit area, my mom taught me how to crochet which turned me onto other techniques like embroidery and sewing, which I mostly learned without formal training. Lately I've been working diligently to advance my watercolor and digital illustration skills, posting most of my work to my instagram, @thefiberbetweenus.

The older I get the more meaning and challenges I find in my work, the connection to family and experiences that have brought me to this point in time. The basis of my work comes from the need for connection, self love and acceptance and the nostalgic experiences that shape us into who we are.
